3D Printing and the X3M

July 13th, 2019 by

The 2020 X3 M Competition showed up this week, and with it we are introduced to the new S58 motor. The coolest thing about this motor it that it is 3D printed through a process called additive manufacturing. This provides extreme precision during not only the design phase, but also the final production. We will see this engine again in the upcoming M3 and M4 as well, and the 3D printing process will make its way into additional BMW through the upcoming years.
