Is it OK to have a favorite BMW?

November 18th, 2020 by

While they say it’s not OK to have a favorite child, it’s got to be alright to have a favorite BMW. If you want to go fast, opt for the M series. We all know the M5 is the gold standard for luxury speed, but what if we don’t want the midsize car feel? Looking for something larger, you could easily opt for an X3 or the sportier X4, but what happens if you have a large family and want to go far? What this boils down to is a matter of preference, but if you want to go fast and far, there is nothing better than the new 2021 BMW X7.

It’s got power to spare, to help you go fast.

While the core model X7 xDrive 40i boasts 335 horsepower and a 0-60 time under 6 seconds, the new X7 M50i adds on almost 200 horsepower and takes almost 2 seconds off your 0-60 time. Go a little crazy and reserve the new X7 Alpina and you’ll get to your destination yesterday. Yes, this seven seat large SAV really is that fast, and yes; it really does cruise at speeds often matched by its much smaller brothers and sisters in the M Series. Step into the Mercedes GLS and you’ll feel like your tires are stuck in glue, or maybe you just left the gear in park, saddened by paying $40,000 more for an AMG that runs the same as the BMW X7 M50i. No matter whether you’re stuck in traffic and need to escape, or you finally found those back roads that center you in the fast-paced life that is San Diego, you will get there fast in your new BMW X7.

It’s got space for all, so you can go far.

Here’s the thing: it doesn’t matter how fast your car is if it can’t do what you need it to do; you need power and space. The BMW X7 does all this, and more. Assuming you need all seven seats, you have more than enough room for all your groceries, plenty for this weekend’s BBQ. Don’t need all seven? Fold flat the third-row with automatic seat adjustments and you just opened up the cargo space to almost 50 cubic feet of space, sixteen cubic feet more than the BMW X5. Now you can grab all your groceries for the BBQ, and the BBQ itself (we’re still doing the Traeger thing, right?).

As we come up to winter here in Escondido, we know we have to get away. Covid has all of us running a little lean and tired, so what’s the best thing we can do? Rent a cabin for a weekend in Big Bear and relax. While you can easily isolate at home, wouldn’t you rather relax in a cabin far away from the noise of the city? Well, the BMW X7 will take you, your family, and everything they could need for a weekend. You’ll have so much room, you may never have to leave the cabin (that’s the point, isn’t it?).

“The BMW X7 stands out as one of the most luxurious picks in the competitive luxury large SUV class. The cabin is elegantly styled and trimmed with quality materials. There’s an exceptional variety of standard tech and convenience features. All seven seats are comfortable and can accommodate adults as well. Cargo space is about average for the segment. The BMW X7 has 12.8 cubic feet of cargo space with all of its seats in the upright position. Fold down the third row, and you’ll have 48.6 cubic feet of space. There’s 90.4 cubic feet of space with the second and third row seats folded. This maximum cargo capacity is about average for the luxury large SUV class. A power liftgate comes standard.”US News

Can we all just agree that yes, it is OK to play favorites? We have to, because the new 2021 BMW X7 is all that and more for us. It’s fast, fun, fearless, and will take you far … in style and comfort. It’s one of our fastest selling SAVs at the dealership, a quick seller after a test-drive, and the one we all wish we could drive home at the end of a long week, so we can enjoy the peace of Big Bear.
