We’re almost done with the first quarter of 2021, three vaccinations are helping us all get back to normal through the pandemic, and we are rapidly increasing electric availability in our current BMW models in order to meet BMW Global’s goal of a complete electric lineup by 2025. BMW of Escondido spends a lot of time discussing all-electric models, hybrid availability, and the mileage range for gas-power mileage vehicles. We do this because it matters to us. Being in San Diego, environmentally friendly lifestyles aren’t a fad; they’re how we live our daily lives. As we move closer to 2025 and electric availability across our entire model lineup, we want to take some time and lay out what we have currently and where the future is taking us. 

The BMW i3 is Awkward, but Adorable

Yeah, we didn’t write that one, but it remains totally true. Motor Biscuit loves the car, and today the i3 remains a consistent seller for us. It can be considered an entry-level all-electric vehicle similar to the MINI SE All-Electric, but with more style. With high-capacity batteries that can be fully charged in under 6 hours, the BMW i3 and i3s are perfect compact sedans for daily commutes and road trips.   

The BMW X3 xDrive30e and BMW X5 xDrive45e are Solid

The X3 and X5 models have always been seen as BMW’s bread and butter, but for BMW of Escondido, they’re our most popular and consistently sold SAV (SUV) models. Not only are they accessible to everyone (price), they lessen the financial burden you have when you only allow for gas models. You’ll notice that our inventory reflects the value we have on our shared future, with dozens of electric, hybrid, or all electric models available. As we move forward, you can expect to see that number grow. So while we only have a few dozens electrified models on our showroom floor currently, we are receiving orders for more at an ever-growing pace, and we will only see that number grow as people become more aware of our environmental concerns or the average age of our drivers decrease.
