BMW of Escondido: A Year in Review

A look back at the content that helped make BMW of Escondido the fastest growing dealership in North County San Diego in 2020.

With a growing online presence, client advisors that consistently provide award-winning service, and a premiere service center that services more than 15,000 vehicles a year with a near perfect Google review rating, BMW of Escondido has positioned itself as San Diego’s first choice for new and used luxury cars and SUVs. While 2020 has been anything but stable, our dealership has continued to provide the same excellent service our customers demand, not because we need to, but because it’s the right thing to do. We founded ourselves as the leading family owned and operated dealership in a highly competitive market, and have kept our commitment to our neighbors by staying local, caring for our community as much as our clients. It’s one of the traits that keep people coming back for more: more service, a new car, or just a friendly visit to shake hands with a client advisor who truly cares about them. As we move into a new year, we wanted to take a step back and reflect on the content we created that shaped how we engaged with you online.

We Create Content that Cares

One of the things we know we want to lean into more in 2021 is spotlighting our employees. We found that some of our most popular posts on Facebook were posts that showed how much our employees care for people, like Vinnie Robotti, Frank Garcia, and our sales manager . It’s one thing for people to like our cars, but it’s an entirely different thing for them to like our people. We appreciate that our employees aren’t just workers; they’re friends, and more importantly, they’re family.

We also intend to continue showcasing our vehicles as a lifestyle decision, elevating the intersection of life and brand. While the BMW brand is strong, we want to create a stronger tie between SUV and lifestyle, like we did with our BMW X3 video and article. If a family is best suited for an X3, then that is how we need to present it to our audience. If they are better served by the larger X5, then we need to create content that reflects a larger SUV for a larger family. Ultimately, we want to make sure we present every option for our customers, so they can make an informed decision with a car they could have for life. And if they have a favorite BMW; that’s great, because we have one too.

We Create Content that Informs

While we create content that cares, we also want to continue to create content that informs our drivers about their vehicles and the future of the brand. You’ve no doubt seen the trend of car manufacturers moving more into the electric powered space, and if you’ve been reading our articles, have also heard that the BMW brand will look and feel entirely different in 2025 throughout its model lineup. While there will be electric options for every class, there is a strong commitment to also reduce our carbon footprint with improved gas mileage. So this is not a this/that argument, but rather an and/both conversation. In this, we are excited to see what happens next. One thing we know for sure: our service center will be ready to help move you into a more responsible future with vehicles that last a lifetime, whether it’s a new, used, certified pre-owned, or retired courtesy loaner

We Create Content that Excites

The landscape is changing for luxury vehicles: cars are lasting longer, customers are not buying new vehicles as often as they used to, and car makers are creating a more level playing field in excellence. This is a good thing and something we hope pushes Escondido into the future. But here’s the thing: no one is better at creating content that excites than BMW. The M Series is world-renowned as THE vehicle that sets the standard for all others. As the look of the M changes to move it into the future, you can expect the same standard setting technology and performance you have come to expect from BMW. When we first dropped the article on the new 2 Series Gran Coupe, people talked. First it was the grille, the same one that rolled out in the new 3 and 4 Series, then it was about the interior, and then it was how it would become that new entry-point for new BMW drivers.

We love that people are talking about our client advisors, cars, and SUVs (and yes, we know they’re really SAVs, but hey; we’re different). But people are also watching the content we produce. This year alone, our videos have been streamed hundreds of thousands of times. With a growing subscriber base on YouTube and an audience on Facebook that watches and comments on our cars (including some hilarious and eye-opening statements), we anticipate a higher engagement rate in 2021 as the auto industry moves further into the media world. That’s exciting for us, as we are laying the groundwork for fun in the future. Here’s the challenge: let us know what you think about our content, what’s missing, and what can help you and your car. We’re here for you, in Escondido, and life. Now, let’s go about the business of making 2021 the best year ever.

At the end of the day, it's one of our aims: to always make people happy.
